Sox Win Again!
Defeat Isotopes 8-4, Now 3-0 in Tournament Play
The NY/NJ White Sox continued to win as they posted an 8-4 win over the San Francisco Isotopes. The early morning game saw the Sox come out slow and play some sloppy defense, but the bats came around at the right times. Darian Barranco made his first start as a White Sox and pitched well. Barranco worked around some bad defense to pitch 8 strong innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 earned run, walking 2, and striking out 9. He then gave way to Red Muniz who pitched a 1-2-3 9th recording 1 strike out.
The Sox bats came alive in this one. Sharif Upchurch and Gary Gottlob combined for 4 hits 2 doubles, 2 runs, 2 walks, 2 stolen bases and 3RBI. Joe Alvarez collected an RBI Double and scored 2 runs, Adam Light went 2 for 3 with 2 Singles, plus Mercado & Amador each collecting RBI hits.
