Joey "Baggs" Capogna led the NY/NJ White Sox to their first Tournament Championship in the teams history.  Baggs hit 0.538 for the tournament, scored 5 runs, stole 4 bases, and drove in 8 runs.

Rich Aleman

Rich Aleman struggled thru much of the tournament, but that did not stop him in the Championship Game.  Aleman went 3 for 4 with a Single, Double, Home Run, and 3 RBI giving him Championship MVP Honors.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian got the call in the Championship Game and he did not disappoint.  Jiminian pitched a complete game without allowing an earned run, allowed only 4 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 11.

Joey "Baggs" Capogna

 

Joey Capogna captured Tournament MVP by going 2 for 3 with 2 singles, a walk, a run scored, and 3 stolen bases.  Baggs led the Sox with an average of 0.538.

Antuan Barnett

Antuan Barnett capped off a great tournament by picking up another 2 extra base hits, and scoring 2 runs for the Sox.  Barnett hit 0.500 for the tournament with 4 extra base hits.

Game 3 - 3/24/07 vs. Bronx Royals

 

Anthony Simone

Anthony Simone made his first appearance in the tournament and made his presence known.  Simone came in relief of a tired O'Brien and pitched the final 3 innings without allowing a hit.  Simone picked up the win and helped the Sox get into the Championship Game.

Sean O'Brien

Sean O'Brien got the call in the most important game of the tournament, Winner gets a bye into the Championship Game.  O'Brien did not disappoint as he pitched 5 solid innings before tiring in the 6th.  O'Brien finished the game allowing only 5 hits, no earned runs, walked 4, and struck out 6 on the afternoon.

Joey "Baggs" Capogna

Joey Baggs came through for the Sox again and ensured them a spot in the Championship Game.  With the Sox down 4-3 in the 7th innings, Baggs lined a 2 run double giving the Sox a 5-4 lead.  Baggs drove in 3 on the day.

Antuan Barnett

Antuan Barnett had another great game for the Sox picking up 2 hits, and driving in 2 important runs for the Sox.  Barnett Singled, Doubled, and walked in his 4 plate appearances.

Game 2 - 3/24/07 vs. NY All Stars

 

Eddie Santiago

Eddie Santiago made his first start for the Sox in tournament play and dominated the defending Champion NY All Stars.  Santiago pitched a complete game, allowing 7 hits, while walking 3, and striking out 3.

Randy Shupe

Randy Shupe had a very productive game at the plate.  Shupe reached on a fielders choice and scored in the 2nd, Doubled in a run and scored in the 4th, and sacrificed a runner over in the 6th.  Randy also made a number of great defensive plays at 3rd base.

Game 1 - 3/24/07 vs. Pistol Petes

 

Randy Shupe

Randy Shupe got the call for the Opening Game of the Boricua Caribbean Classic and Shupe was dominating.  Shupe pitched a complete game, 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 6.

Amable Martinez

Amable Martinez made his first start for the Sox and made his presence felt.  Martinez went 3 for 4 with 2 Singles, a Home Run, 2 runs scored, and drove in 2 runs.  Amable also made a number of great plays at short stop.

Joey "Baggs" Capogna

Joey "Baggs" Capogna got the Sox going on the right foot.  With no score in the 2nd inning, Baggs came up with 2 on and 1 out and drove in both runs with a long triple.  Then Joey drove in another run with a single in the 4th.

Antuan Barnett


Antuan Barnett made his first appearance as a Sox player and fit right in.  Barnett drove in 2 runs with a triple, scored another run in the 3rd inning, and reached base 3 times on the afternoon.
