Finals Game 2 - 8/18/07 @  Saddle River Yankees

 

Gary Gottlob

Gary Gottlob came through in a HUGE way for the Sox.  With the game tied in the 9th inning, Gottlob launched his first home run giving the Sox a 6-5 lead and eventual 9-5 victory.  In the field, Gary made a number of outstanding plays keeping the Yankees off the board.


2 for 6 - Single, Home Run, 2R, 2RBI

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian took the hill for the decisive game against the Yankees.  Jiminian pitched a complete game, 9 innings, allowing only 8 hits, 5 runs, walked 5, and struck out 11.  At the plate, David added an RBI Single, and scored a run in the game.

Finals Game 1 - 8/12/07 vs.  Saddle River Yankees

 

Jim Killian

Jimmy Killian shines when it comes to the playoffs.  Game 1 of the Finals proves the point.  Killian went 3 for 4 on the night including the game winning 2RBI Double in the 8th inning, giving the Sox a 7-5 lead and victory.  Jimmy scored 2 runs, and also stole a base in the game.  Killian is hitting 0.429 thus far in the post season.

3 for 4 - 2 Singles, Double, 2R, 2RBI, SB

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian had 2 big hits in the game, both scoring runs.  In the first with the Sox down 2-0, Jiminian singled in Killian, then in the 6th, David tied the game with a base hit, once again driving in Killian.  David is hitting 0.615 in the post season.

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch showed why he is the MVP of the league.  With the Sox down 5-1 in the 4th inning, Reef gave the Sox a pep talk, then let his bat do the talking with a 2 Run Home Run cutting the lead to 5-3.  Upchurch homered, walked, drove in 2, and scored 2 runs in the contest.  Reef is hitting 0.417 in the playoffs.

Semi-Finals Game 2 - 8/05/07 @ Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

Randy Shupe

Randy Shupe made the start in the Semi-Final Clinching game and was outstanding.  Shupe pitched 7 innings, allowing only 5 hits, 1 earned run, walked 2 and struck out 6.  At the plate, Shupe collected 4 hits, drove in 2 runs, and scored 2 runs on the day.

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch quietly continues to shine for the Sox.  Upchurch drove in 4 runs for the Sox with a Double and Home Run.  Reef also walked, and scored 3 runs in the contest.  In the playoffs, Sharif is now hitting 0.444 with 6 runs batted in.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian had a great day at the plate.  Jiminian collected 5 hits in the playoff game, a White Sox Record, drove in 2 runs, and scored 2 runs.

Semi-Finals Game 1 - 8/04/07 vs. Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian got the call for the 1st Playoff Game and was dominating.  Jiminian pitched 7 innings, allowing only 1 hit, no runs, walked 4, and struck out 6.  At the plate, David drove in 2 runs with a Single for the Sox.

Jim Killian

Jimmy Killian continued his torrid playoff hitting going.  Killian launched a long 2 run home run and scored 3 runs in the contest helping the Sox to an 8-2 victory.

Game 20 - 7/27/07 vs. Pompton Dodgers

 

 


Sox get a cheap win over the Pompton Dodgers by way of Forfeit.  The Sox finish the season 17-3 and take the #1 seed into the Lou Gehrig Playoffs.   

Game 19 - 7/25/07 vs. Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

Randy Shupe

Randy Shupe rebounded from the hard luck loss on Sunday with a dominating performance on Wednesday.  Shupe pitched a complete game, 7 innings, allowing only 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and struck out 10 in the game.

Dave Wasserman

Dave Wasserman finished off a great season going 1 for 2 with 2RBI, and a walk.  Wass finished the season batting .500 and drove in 7 runs.

Game 18 - 7/22/07 @ Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch is making his push for Lou Gehrig League MVP.  Upchurch collected 2 more doubles and scored a run for the Sox today.  Sharif is 2nd in the league in Hitting at .465, 1st in Home Runs with 4, 2nd in Doubles with 6, 2nd in runs scored with 17, and 2nd in hits with 20.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian drove in 2 of the 3 runs the Sox would score on the afternoon with a 2RBI Single in the 1st inning.  Jiminian also reached and stole a base with the game tied in the 9th inning.

Randy Shupe


Randy Shupe was the hard luck loser in the contest for the Sox.  Shupe pitched a complete game, 8.2 innings, allowing only 6 hits, 1 earned run, walked 4, and struck out 5.  Randy lowered his ERA to 2.86 on the season.

Game 17 - 7/21/07 @ Englewood Marauders

 

Jason Leyner

Jason Leyner got his yearly start for the Sox against the Marauders and was outstanding.  Leyner pitched a complete game, 9 Innings, allowing only 5 hits, 1 run, walked a batter, and struck out 2 batters.

Rich Aleman

 

Rich Aleman continued to be a dominant force in the Lou Gehrig League.  Aleman collected 2 more hits, a double, and a home run, and drove in 4 runs.

Dave Wasserman

Dave Wasserman had a strong game at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI Singles, and 2 walks in the contest.  Wass also helped out in the field playing 3 positions, 1st base, Left Field, and 2nd Base.

Jim Killian

Jimmy Killian continued his great play for the Sox.  Killian went 3 for 4 on the afternoon with a Single and 2 Doubles.  Jimmy also scored 3 of the Sox 8 runs in the game.

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch had another great game for the Sox.  Upchurch went 2 for 4 with 2 Home Runs, drove in 5 runs, and scored 3 runs.

MJ Duggan

Rookie MJ Duggan makes his 1st appearance on the Player of the Game Board after having an outstanding game for the Sox.  Duggan collected 2 hits, including a Home Run, drove in 3 runs, and scored 3 runs.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian took the mound for his final regular season start.  Jiminian pitched a complete game for his league leading 5th win.  David pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits, allowing 1 earned run, walked 2, and struck out 4.

Dave Wasserman

Dave Wasserman made his second start of the season for the Sox.  Wass pitched a complete game, allowing 9 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and struck out 7 on the day.  Dave also drove in a run at bat and scored 2 runs himself.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian made the start and picked  up his 4th win of the season.  Jiminian pitched a complete game, 8IP, allowing 8 hits, no earned runs, 2 walks, and struck out 9.  In extra innings, Jiminian came up with the Game Winning RBI Single to end the game.

John Orlando

John Orlando came down to help out the short handed Sox.  Orlando came up with the biggest hit for the Sox, as he hit a 2 run Double with 2 outs to tie the game.  The Sox would later score a run in extra innings to win the game 4-3.

Game 11 - 6/17/07 @ Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

Dave Wasserman

Dave Wasserman got the call making his first start for the Sox and was dominating on the mound.  Wass pitched 5 shut out innings, allowing only 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4.  At bat, Dave went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, and scored a run on the day.

Danny Mercado

Danny Mercado made his first start of the season for the Sox and was outstanding.  Mercado pitched a complete game, 7IP, allowing 7 hits, 1 run, walked 5, and struck out 12.  At the plate, Danny picked up another 2 hits, drove in a run, and scored 2 runs himself.

Jason Leyner

 

Jason Leyner had a huge day at the plate, collected 2 hits, both doubles, scoring 2 runs, and driving in 3 runs.  Leyner raised his 0.350 on the season.

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch had a great day at the plate.  Upchurch went 3 for 3 on the day, drove in a run, scored 2 runs, and stole a base.  Sharif raised his average on the season to 0.400.

Dave Wasserman collected the only hit for the Sox and they were 1 hit by Vega and the Marauders.

Anthony Simone

Anthony Simone got the call in Game 1 of the Double Header and Anthony was dominant.  Simone pitched a complete game, allowing only 5 hits, 1 run, walked 1, and struck out 7.

Rich Aleman

Rich Aleman continued his hot hitting for the Sox as he picked up another 2 hits, including a 2 run home run that gave the Sox a 4-0 lead.  In part time duty, Aleman is hitting 0.385 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI.

Game 7 - 5/20/07 vs. Parsippany Brewers

 

 


Sox get a cheap win over the Parsippany Brewers by way of Forfeit.  The Sox are now 7-0 on the season. 

Game 6 - 5/6/07 @ Saddle River Yankees

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian did it again.  Jiminian went 3 for 4 at bat, driving in a run, and scoring 2 runs.  David also came in relief with the Sox down 7-3 and held the Yankees down for 4 innings allowing the Sox to come back and win the game.  Jiminian picked up his 3rd win of the season in the teams 6th game.

Jim Killian

Jimmy Killian had a great afternoon.  After picking up a hit in game 1, Killian went 3 for 5 and drove in 3 runs in the 2nd game of a double header.  Jimmy's big 2 RBI Double tied the game for the Sox in the 6th inning.

Adam Light


Adam Light had another outstanding day at the plate.  Light collected 3 hits, and drove in 5 runs leading the Sox to a 17-5 victory over the Yankees.

Ryan Brand

Ryan Brand came into the day as a call up because the Sox were short handed.  Brand proved to be a force in the middle of the Sox lineup collecting 3 hits, scoring 3 runs, and driving in 3 runs.

Randy Shupe made his 2nd start of the season and was on his game.  Shupe pitched a complete game allowing only 2 earned runs, on 4 hits, walked 3, and sturck out 5.

Game 4 - 4/29/07 vs. Ridgefield Park Orioles

 

Rich Aleman

Rich Aleman made his presence felt.  With the score tied at 2, Aleman took the game into his own hands and drilled a 1 out 2 run Home Run giving the Sox a 4-2 victory over the Ridgefield Park Orioles.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian got his 2nd start of the season.  Jiminian pitched 6 innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, walked 4, and stuck out 11 on the day.  David is now 2-0 on the season with an era of 0.69, and 19 strikeouts in 13 innigs.

Game 3 - 4/22/07 @ Pompton Dodgers

 

Danny Mercado
Danny Mercado saved the day for the Sox.  Already 2 pitchers down, Mercado took the ball with the Sox down 4-0 in the game.  Danny shut down the Dodgers and allowed the Sox to get back into the game.  Mercado pitched 4 innings of 1 hit ball, without allowing a run.  Danny also had 3 hits, 3RBI, and 2 runs scored.

Adam Light


Adam Light had an outstanding game vs. the Dodgers.  Light drove in 2 runs to tie the game in the 4th, then hit a long home run giving the Sox a 2 run lead, and capped the scoring with an RBI Single in the 6th.  Adam had 3 hits on the day, and scored 2 runs.

Sharif Upchurch

Sharif Upchurch got his stroke back!  After struggling for the beginning part of the season, Reef collects 2 hits, a double and a long Home Run to break out of a slump.  Upchurch drove in 3 runs, and scored 2 of his own.

Anthony Simone

Anthony Simone made his 1st start of the season and was dominating.  Simone pitched a complete game, 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits, 2 unearned runs, walked 2, and struck out 10 on the day.

Randy Shupe

Randy Shupe makes the board for the first time this season with an outstanding performance.  Shupe collected 2 hits, both doubles, and drove in 2 runs in the Sox 6-2 victory over the Dodgers.

Danny Mercado

Danny Mercado continues to hit the ball hard.  Mercado collected another 2 hits, a Single and a Double, drove in a run, and scored 2 runs on the day.  Danny is currently hitting over .600 on the young season.

Game 1 - 4/7/07 vs. Englewood Marauders

 

Rich Aleman

Rich Aleman made his Lou Gehrig Debut, and made his presence felt in the middle of the Sox order.  Aleman drove in 3 of the Sox 5 runs helping them to a 5-4 victory.  Rich doubled 2 runs in the 1st, then Singled in a run in the 5th. 

 

2 for 4 - Single, Double, 3 RBI

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian got the call on opening day and was dominating once again.  Jiminian pitched 7 innings, without allowing an earned run, gave up 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8.  David lowered his career ERA vs. the Marauders to 0.50.
