Gary Gottlob Gary Gottlob came through in a HUGE way for the Sox. With the game tied in the 9th inning, Gottlob launched his first home run giving the Sox a 6-5 lead and eventual 9-5 victory. In the field, Gary made a number of outstanding plays keeping the Yankees off the board.

David Jiminian David Jiminian took the hill for the decisive game against the Yankees. Jiminian pitched a complete game, 9 innings, allowing only 8 hits, 5 runs, walked 5, and struck out 11. At the plate, David added an RBI Single, and scored a run in the game.

Jim Killian Jimmy Killian shines when it comes to the playoffs. Game 1 of the Finals proves the point. Killian went 3 for 4 on the night including the game winning 2RBI Double in the 8th inning, giving the Sox a 7-5 lead and victory. Jimmy scored 2 runs, and also stole a base in the game. David Jiminian David Jiminian had 2 big hits in the game, both scoring runs. In the first with the Sox down 2-0, Jiminian singled in Killian, then in the 6th, David tied the game with a base hit, once again driving in Killian. David is hitting 0.615 in the post season.

the MVP of the league. With the Sox down 5-1 in the 4th
inning, Reef gave the Sox a pep talk, then let his bat do the
talking with a 2 Run Home Run cutting the lead to 5-3.
Upchurch homered, walked, drove in 2, and scored 2 runs in the
contest. Reef is hitting 0.417 in the playoffs. |
