Angel Acosta

Angel Acosta had another great game for the Sox going 2 of 3 with 2 singles, and an RBI on a Sac Fly.

Joe Alvarez

Joe Alvarez had one of his typical playoff performances going 2 for 4 with a Single, Double, Run Scored, and 2 Stolen Bases to go with a number of great defensive plays.

Mario Sencion


Mario Sencion came in a tough spot with the Sox down 6-1.  Sencion responded on an extremely hot day with 5 innings of work allowing only 1 earned run and 5 hits.

Nephty Cruz

Nephty Cruz gave the Sox some life with a LONG BLAST into the highway.  The Home Run was Nephty first of the season in the Lou Gehrig League and 9th Extra base hit.

Game 20 - August 3, 2005 vs. Bergen Yankees

 

Victor Catano

Victor Catano kept his hot bat going as he went 2 for 2 with 2 Singles, a Walk, and an RBI.  Victors season average was 0.526.

Edwin Guzman

Edwin Guzman has his best offensive game of the season going.  Edwin hit a Triple and a Single while Stealing a base and scoring a run.

Game 19 - July 31, 2005 vs. Clifton Cardinals

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian completed a perfect regular season with a 6-0 Shut Out victory over the Defending Champion Cardinals.  This was Jiminians 3rd Consecutive Shut Out vs. The Cardinals.  Jiminian finished the Season with a record of 7-0, ERA of 0.44, 103 Strike Outs, 6 Complete Games, and 3 Shut Outs (all League Bests).  Dave Wasserman was lucky victim #100 on the season!

Juan Williams

Juan Williams continues to shine for the Sox.  Williams got the Sox going in the first with a Double, and added 2 Singles and 2 RBI in the contest.

Game 18 - July 27, 2005 vs. Parsippany Brewers

 

Angel Acosta

After not having much luck in the last few games, Acosta came through for the Sox.  Acosta belted a Double, added a Single, a Walk, and an RBI in the Sox 8-6 Victory.

Game 17 - July 23, 2005 vs. Bronx Royals

 

Gary Harris

Gary Harris had a career day going 4-4 with 2 Singles, 2 Double, a walk, SB, 5RBI, and 3 runs scored in the Sox win.

4 for 4 - 2 Singles, 2 Doubles, BB, SB, 3R, 5RBI.

 

Juan Williams

Juan Williams kept his bat going with a 3 for 5 day.  Juan had 2 Singles, HR, BB, and 4RBI on the day.  Williams also pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the win.

Game 16 - July 16, 2005 vs. Saddle River Yankees

 

Gary Harris

Gary Harris made the start vs. Saddle River and was outstanding.  Harris was able to keep the Yankee players off balance all day long allowing only 6 hits and striking out 7 in his complete game victory.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian finds a way to contribute even when he is not on the mound.  Jiminian was 1 for 3 with a 2 RBI Single that put the Sox up 2-0, then added an insurance run on a Sac Fly later in the game to make the score 5-3.  David's arm also held a number of runners at 3rd base for Saddle River.

Game 15 - July 15, 2005 vs. Parsippany Brewers

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian was once again masterful on the mound.  Doctor K was at it again.  In his 7 innings of work, Jiminian allowed only 3 hits, walked 3, and Struck Out 16 batters (16 of his 21 outs were by the strike out)

Juan Williams

Juan Williams started his White Sox career with a bang.  Williams went 3 for 3 with a walk, collected 2 Singles, a Double, and 3 RBI.  Juan also played great defense at first.

Game 14 - July 13, 2005 vs. Bronx Royals

 

Christian Morales

Christian Morales, making his first appearance on the Player of the Game board, had his best game of the season picking up 2 hits, and 3RBI in clutch situations.

Jose Arroyo

Jose Arroyo picked up his 2nd consecutive win in dominating fashion.  After allowing 2 runners in the first inning, Arroyo would retire 13 of the next 15 to face him.  After a rough start to the season, Jose has not allowed an earned run in his last 12.1 innings pitched.

Joel Arroyo

Joel Arroyo, making his first Lou Gehrig Appearance, got the Sox out of a tough spot and earned the Save.  Joel came into the game with the score 5-2, 1 out in the 6th, and the bases loaded.  An error allowed 2 runs to score, but Joel would strike out 3 of the 5 batters he faced.

Game 13 - June 26, 2005 @ Englewood Marauders

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian strikes again against the Marauders.  Jiminian pitched a complete game allowing only 5 hits, striking out 13, walking 3, and allowing 1 unearned run.  With this victory, Jiminian is now 7-0 against the Marauders with an ERA of 0.61, while striking out 76 in 59.1 innings.

Joe Alvarez

Joe Alvarez is on fire.  Alvarez had another great game with the bat and one of his best this season as he got the Sox going with 2 Doubles, a Single, the go ahead RBI, and Run Scored in the 3-1 win.  Alvarez is 6 for 8 in his last 3 games with 3 Doubles and 3 RBI.

Game 12 - June 23, 2005 vs. North Bergen Tainos

 

Joe Alvarez

Alvarez had a typical game going 2-2 with a Single, Double, BB, Sac, 2R, 2RBI, and 2SB.  Joe has been hitting the ball hard all season, and finally a few dropped.  With Joe's 2 Stolen Bases, he now leads the league with 9.

Sergio Sencion

Sergio Sencion kept up his hot hitting going 2-4 with 2 Singles and driving in 3 runs.  With his 2 hits, Sencion is now tied for 2nd in the league in Hits, only 1 behind the League Leader.

Jose Arroyo

In his 2nd start of the season, Arroyo won his first game for the Lou Gehrig League Sox.  Jose kept the Tainos off balance the entire night allowing only 5 hits and striking out 3.  Arroyo was able to work in and out of jams as he walked 8 in the contest.

Game 11 - June 19, 2005 @ Bergen Yankees

 

Nephty Cruz

Cruz continued his hot hitting going 3 for 3 on the day with a walk and a HBP.  Cruz connected for 2 Triples, a Single, and Collected 3 RBI while scoring 2 Runs.

Sergio Sencion

Sergio Sencion made the emergency start for the Sox and pitched well.  Sergio pitched into the 6th inning allowing 4 Hits, 2 earned runs, 6 walks, and struck out 6.  Sencion also went 2 for 4 with a single, double, and 2RBI.

Jackie Schnorrbusch

Jackie Schnorrbusch made her 2nd appearance for the White Sox and collected her first hit of the season.  Jackie was also aggressive on the bases scoring 2 runs.

Pete Polizzano

Polizzano had his best day of the season at the plate collecting 3 hits, and scoring 1 run in the Sox loss.

Game 9 - June 9, 2005 vs. Englewood Marauders

 

David Jiminian

David Jiminian's dominance of the Lou Gehrig League continued as he pitches a 1 hit shut out against the Marauders.  This is Jiminian's 2nd consecutive Shut Out (21 straight scoreless innings).

Gary Harris

 

Gary Harris came through for the Sox with his first Home Run of the Season. 

Game 7 - May 22, 2005 vs. North Bergen Tainos (Gm 2)

 

Sal Nicosia

Sal Nicosia led the Sox attack going 3 for 4 with 3 Singles, 3 Runs Scored, and 3 Runs Batted In.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian once again saved the Sox as he came into this game with the Sox trailing 8-1.  Jiminian held the Tainos at bay while the offense put up the numbers.  David pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 hits, walking 2 and striking out 9.

David Jiminian

David Jiminian, who is becoming a regular on the Player of the Game board led the Sox offense with a Single, Home Run, and 3RBI.

Mario Sencion


Mario Sencion started the game and kept the Tainos off balance.  Sencion got the win pitching 5 Innings, allowing 7 Hits, 1 Earned Run, 2 Walks, and 4 Strike Outs.

GAME 5 - May 12, 2005 vs. Clifton Cardinals

 

David Jiminian

The easy choice was David Jiminian as he completely embarrassed the Defending Champion Cardials (again)by pitching a Complete Game No-Hit Shut-Out.

GAME 4 - May 7, 2005 vs. Bronx Royals

 

Mario Sencion


Mario Sencion got his first win as a White Sox pitching a complete game Shut Out.  Sencion only allowed 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 5.

 

Jackie Schnorrbusch

Jackie Schnorrbusch made her White Sox debut and was the defensive star of the game.  Schnorrbusch made a number of great defensive plays in the outfield.

At the plate, Jackie made solid contact in 3 of 4 at bats, but was held hitless.

GAME 3 - April 17, 2005 vs. Berkeley Heights Reds (Gm 2)

 

Nephty Cruz

Cruz came through in the clutch going 2-4 with a 2 RBI Triple in a scoreless game.  Cruz added a Single, and stole a base, which set up anther run.

David Jiminian

David followed up his 9 inning 18 strike out performance in his first start with a 7 Inning complete game 11 Strike Out performance.  Jiminian allowed only 3 hits while walking 3.

GAME 2 - April 17, 2005 @ Berkeley Heights Reds (Gm 1)

 

Pete Polizzano

Polizzano came through in a huge spot for the Sox.  With the Sox down 4-2 in the final inning, Pete hit a 2 run Triple to tie the game and then scored the game winning run on an RBI Double by Connolly.

Gary Harris

Gary makes the board for the 2nd consecutive week.  Harris came into the game with the Sox down 4-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out.  Not a problem as Gary go out of the jam and pitched 2.2 innings for his first win!

Gary Harris

Gary made quite an impression in his White Sox Debut.  Not only was he solid at the plate, he also gave the Sox 4 hitless innings on the mound, and Solid Defense in the outfield!

Alvarez racked up 3 hits, an RBI, BB, and a Stolen Base to get the offense going.  He also pitched 3 hitless innings on the mound.  When his head is in the game, Joe can be
one of the best in the league.

David Jiminian

David showed why he is the reining MVP and Cy Young Award winner in the Lou Gehrig Division.  In the first Game of the season, David strikes out 18 while allowing only 5 hits in 9 innings of work.

Nephty Cruz

Cruz came into the season with 2 things in his mind, a Championship and an MVP Award.  Well, his MVP campaign got off to a quick start as Cruz collected 2 singles, a Double, 2 RBI, 2 BB, R, and a Stolen Base.

Angel Acosta

After struggling much of last year and ending the season on a terrible note, Acosta vowed to have a come back season.  As good as it gets in the outfield, Angel showed that his bat was back in form.

Sergio also made his White Sox Debut in this game.  Sencion collected 3 hits and caught the entire 16 inning game.  With Sergio behind the plate, Sox pitchers only allowed 5 hits and 6 walks.
