Simone/Aleman Too Much for Marauders...

The NY/NJ White Sox won their 8th straight game in the first game of a double header against the Englewood Marauders... Anthony Simone took the hill and dominated the Marauders. Simone pitched a complete game (7IP, 5H, 1ER, 1BB, 7K) and was 1 out away from a shut out. The Sox took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning when Killian walked, moved to 2nd on a groundout, and scored on an RBI Single by Adam Light. The game stayed at 1-0 until the 6th inning when Rich Aleman launched a 2 Run Home Run to give the Sox a 3-0 lead. Later in the inning, Light would add to the lead with a Sac Fly giving the Sox a 4-0 lead. In the final inning, with 1 out, Vega singled, Checo struck out for the 2nd out, and Julius Soti hit a long RBI Double giving the Marauders their only run. Soti went 3 for 3 on the day with that RBI.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS: Rich Aleman 2 for 3 (Double, Home Run, 2RBI, R), Sharif Upchurch 2 for 3 (Single, Double), and Adam Light 1 for 1 (Single, IBB, Sac Fly, 2RBI).
