Aleman Powers Sox to Victory...

The NY/NJ White Sox defeated the Ridgefield Park Orioles by the score of 4-2. With the victory, the Sox now stand at 4-0 for the season. David Jiminian took the mound for the Sox. Jiminian pitched 6 innings, allowing only 1 earned run, 7 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 11. Anthony Simone came in to shut the door the final 3 innings to pick up his 2nd save of the season. Simone pitched 3 innings, allowing only 1 hit, no runs, no walks, and stuck out 3.

The Sox trailed the Orioles 1-0 until the 5th when Danny Mercado doubled in Killian to tie the game. Steve Surman then came up and singled in Mercado to give the Sox a 2-1 lead. After the Orioles tied the game in the top of the 6th, the Sox would take the lead for good in bottom half of the frame. Sharif Upchurch reached on an error, and Rich Aleman made the Orioles pay. Aleman launched a long home run into the trees at JP Stevens giving the Sox a 4-2 lead and victory over the Orioles.
