Pitching & Defense Lead Sox to 8th Striaght Victory!
Pitching and Defense Lead Sox past Braves 4 to 0

The NY/NJ White Sox showed why they are so tough to beat with a 4-0 victory over the NJ Braves. In a game where the offense took the day off, the Pitching and Defense led the Sox to another victory. When the pitching or defense struggles, the offense picks them up, and when the offense struggles, the pitching and defense picks them up. The Sox showed the Braves that talk is cheap.

Dave Wasserman took the mound and pitched 5 solid innings (W 5IP, 5H, 0R, 2BB, 6K) before leaving with an injury. Anthony Simone then came in to finish off the Braves and pick up his 2nd save on the season (SV 4IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 2K). The Sox jumped out to an early lead in the 1st on an RBI Single by Upchurch, and RBI Double by Cruz. Cruz would give the Sox a 3-0 lead with his 2nd RBI Double of the game. Adam Light would cap the scoring with an RBI Single in the 8th inning.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS: Nephty Cruz 2 for 3 (2 Doubles, 2RBI), Joe Alvarez 2 for 3 (2 Singles, 2R, SB), Dave Wasserman 2 for 2 (2 Singles, SB), Sharif Upchurch 1 for 2 (Single, RBI, R, BB, 2SB), Adam Light 1 for 3 (RBI Single), and David Jiminian 1 for 3 (Single, R, SB)...
