Sox Win 16th Game
Jiminian Shut Down Dodgers, Ready for Playoffs...

For the second straight year, the NY/NJ White Sox have won 16 games in a 20 game season. The Sox blanked the Hoboken Dodgers 10-0 to win their 3rd straight game, and improve their record to 16-3. David Jiminian took the mound in his tune-up for the playoffs and was dominant. Jiminian pitched a complete game shut out, allowed only 2 hits, no runs, walked 1, and struck out 10. The Sox offense got out of the box in the 1st with Cruz bringing a run home on a ground out. Reissner singled home the 2nd run in the 3rd, Shupe's RBI Single and Simone's 2RBI Single gave the Sox a 5-0 lead. In the 6th, Cruz singled home a run, Killian tripled in another run, and a SAC Fly by Shupe brought in the 3rd run of the inning and gave the Sox an 8-0 lead. In the 7th, anderror scored the 9th run, and Joey Baggs lined a single to left for the game clinching run...

UP NEXT: The Sox will wrap up their regular season as they host the Pompton Dodgers tomorrow night (Monday July 31st), 7:30pm at Larry Doby in Paterson. The Sox will then take the week off and get ready to host the semi-finals on Saturday August 12th against Englewood, Parsippany, or Hoboken...
