Sox Win 15th Game
Wass Shuts Down Yanks, Reef leads offense

The NY/NJ White Sox defeated the Saddle River Yankees 4-1 to win their 15th game of the season. This was a pitchers duel between Dave Wasserman of the Sox and Jose Arroyo of the Yankees in a game that lasted less than 2 hours. Wasserman pitched a complete game, 7IP, allowing only 3 hits and 1 run, while walking 6 and striking out 7. Jose Arroyo was equally as dominant pitching a complete game, 6IP, allowing only 6 hits and 0 earned runs, while walking 2 and striking out 1...

The Sox could not muster much offensively, but took advantage of the Yankee mistakes to score their 4 runs. In the first, Gomez reached on an error, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on a fly out, and scored on a wild pitch. In the 5th, with the scored tied 1-1, Catano singled to right with 1 out. Back to Back errors loaded the bases for Upchurch, who blooped a double into left field. 2 runs scored, and the 3rd run scored on an over throw. That was all the offense Wasserman would need...
