#1 Seed Not Clinched Yet...

The NY/NJ White Sox will have to wait another day as they try to clinch the #1 Seed and home field advantage throughout the Lou Gehrig League Playoffs... With Sal Nicosia (DH) starting at 3rd base, Victor Catano (1B) starting in Left Field, Mario Sencion(P) starting at 2nd base, and Henry Jiminian out of retirement in Right Field, the Sox went out to have some fun as they tried to get some of their injured players healthy for the playoffs...

David Jiminian got the start but was victimized by his defenses lack of mobility among other things... Jiminian gave up 5 earned runs, the most since 2003, but struck out 12 batters on the night... Although the offense had its chances, the Sox could only push across 2 runs on the night... The turning point camein the 6th inning when the Sox loaded the bases with 1 out but couldnt score. Colletto was able to strike out the side to get out of the jam... The Sox left a total of 12 runners on base...

NEXT UP: The Sox will go through their busiest week of the season as they play 4 games starting on Sunday night. Sunday night the Sox will host the Pompton Dodgers at the Totowa Oval. Game time is at 6pm... On Tuesday the Sox will host the Braves, and on Thursday the SR Yankees, both at Larry Doby. The Sox will then conclude the season on Sunday July30th, 10:00am at the Oval vs. the Hoboken Dodgers...
