Sox Rally to Defeat Reds...

In Game 1 of the Double Header, the Sox overcame a late 4-2 deficit to defeat the Berkeley Heights Reds by the score of 6-4. Mario Sencion made his first start as a White Sox.  Sencion (4.1IP, 8H, 4ER, 3BB, 1K) struggled in the first inning allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, but settled down to keep the Reds scoreless until the 5th inning.   He began to tire in the 5th inning and allowed a run in the 5th inning before being relieved by Gary Harris.  Harris took over for Sencion in the 5th with 2 runners on base and was once again dominating on the mound (2.2IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 4K).  Gary got the Sox out of further damage as they began their comeback.  The offense came through for the Sox in the 7th.  Pete Polizzano had a clutch 2 Run Triple that tied the game.  Then John Connolly drove him home with a long double and scored on a base hit by Gary Harris...

Offensive Highlights... Angel Acosta 2-2 (2 Singles, BB, 2R), Pete Polizzano 1-3 (Triple, BB, R, 2RBI), John Connolly 1-3 (Double, R, RBI), David Jiminian 1-2 (Single, BB, RBI), and Gary Harris 1-3 (Single, RBI)...
