Cardinals Killer Strikes Again as Sox Clinch #1 Seed!
The NY/NJ White Sox (16-2-1) defeated the Clifton Cardinals
(15-5) by the score of 6-0 to clinch the #1 Seed in the Lou Gehrig Playoffs.
Cardinal Killer David Jiminian kept his amazing season going as he once again
Shut Out the Cards. Jiminian finished off the regular season with a League best
7-0 record, 0.44 ERA, and 103 Strike Outs. David Wasserman was the lucky victim
of Strike Out #100 on the season.
The Sox would get all the offense they would need in the first inning as Cruz
doubled in Williams. With the score of 2-0, the Sox would open it up in the 4th
with RBI Singles from Nicosia and Williams. Williams would add another RBI
Single in the 6th and the Sox cruised to a 6-0 victory.
The Sox will now host the Bergen Yankees in their regular season finale on
Wednesday night, and then take a week off as they have a bye into the Best of 3
Semi Final Round of the Playoffs.
