Depleted Sox No Match for Brewers

The NY/NJ White Sox lost their 2nd game of the season, as they were defeated by the Parsippany Brewers 12-2.  With players on vacation and games in NY, the Sox were shorthanded and it showed.  Mario Sencion (6IP, 7H, 6ER, 7BB, 1K) made the start after pitching 2.1 innings in the All Star Game yesterday.  Sencion pitched well into the 3rd when he started losing his control.  Damien Gabriel (0.1IP, 0H, 3ER, 3BB, 1K) made his first appearance ever and was wild.  Nephty Cruz then took over (0.1IP, 2H, 1ER, 2BB) to finish off the game.  The Sox took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd when Pete Polizzano singled, went to 2nd on a wild pitch, advanced to 3rd on an error, and scored on an RBI Single by Morrales.  Nephty Cruz added an RBI Single in the 7th inning for the rest of the Sox offense.

Offensive Highlights:  Pete Polizzano 3-3 (3 Singles, R), Mike Mercado 2-4 (Single, Double, SB), Nephty Cruz 1-3 (Single, RBI, BB), Christian Morrales 1-3 (Single, RBI), Sergio Sencion and Damien Gabriel 1-3 each (Single).
