Sox Drop Game 1 of Semi Finals
Brewers Lead Series 1 - 0

The NY/NJ White Sox dropped their first game of the 2005 Lou Gehrig Semi Finals by the score of 9 to 3 against the Parsippany Brewers. With the injury to Jiminian, Juan Williams made the start in Game 1 and struggled with his control. In his 4 innings, Williams walked home 2 runs, and hit 2 more batters to force in runs. Mario Sencion came in to pitch a strong 5 innings allowing only 1 earned run.

On the offensive side, the Sox could not get the big hit. They had runners on base in every inning, but Alec found a way to get out of trouble. Nephty Cruz and Joe Alvarez led the offensive attack. Alvarez was 1 for 3 with a Single, BB, RBI, R, and 2SB while Cruz was 1 for 4 with a long BLAST. Williams, Sencion, and Morales each collected hits on the afternoon.

The Sox season is on the line as Game 2 of the Best of 3 series will be Thursday night, 8:30pm at Smith Field in Parsippany. League Cy Young/MVP David Jiminian will attempt to make the start.
