Sox Blow 5-1 Lead, Score 2 in 7th & Walk off to Victory!

The NY/NJ White Sox moved to 8-1 with a thrilling 7-6 win over the Parsippany Yankees. The Sox were cruising up 5-1 when things fell apart. Mental mistakes along with errors allowed the Yankees to take a 6-5 lead in the 6th inning. But in the bottom of the 7th, the Sox came through with 2 to win the game. Amador led off the inning and reached on an error, followed by a walk to Upchurch. Williams then sacraficed the runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Wasserman would then ground into a fielders choice putting runners on 1st and 3rd but now with 2 outs. David Jiminian then came through with an RBI single to tie the game. After a walk to Acosta to load the bases, Adam Light's infield single wins it for the Sox.

On the hill: Dave Wasserman pitched the first 4 innings and was solid allowing only 1 unearned run on 3 hits, while walking none and striking out 2. Sean O'Brien then came in. O'brien struggled with his command and the defense did not help him out as Sean allowed 4 earned runs on 3 hits. OB walked 3 and struck out 5 in his 3 innings of work.

The Sox will finish up the season on Monday night vs. the NJ Mets. Game time is 8:30pm at Smith Field. A win will lock up the #1 seed for the Sox and a home game on Saturday November 12th against the #4 seed.
